I would like to personally invite you to events taking place in Cowbridge over the bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Along with Town Criers all around the country, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend events will be kicked off by the Cowbridge Town Crier, Jon Wilks, making a Proclamation in front of the Town Hall at 2 pm on Thursday 2nd June. All are welcome.
Cowbridge with Llanblethian Town Council will be holding a Beacon lighting ceremony on the athletic field by the Rugby Club on the Broad Shoard in Cowbridge on Thursday 2nd June. Gates will open at 7 pm and entry will be free. All are welcome.The Beacon lighting will be preceded by some entertainment by the Rock Choir, Stage Door 1 and Stagecoach Theatre Arts starting at 7.45pmThe Beacon lighting itself will be at 9.45pm. The Rugby Club will be serving drinks, Shampan will have an Indian buffet and there will be ice cream available from Fablas.From 10am on Saturday 4th June The Mayor and Mayoress of Cowbridge with Llanblethian Town Council will be holding a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Coffee and Drop-in Morning in the Main hall of Cowbridge Town Hall.
Free entry, coffee or tea and cake. Donations to Barnardos and Atal y Fro.
Sample a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pudding.
Discuss any local issues and ideas with The Mayor and other Councillors.
Visit the Museum. All are welcome.
