Old Girls' School Campaign - Petition to save Cowbridge Old Girls' School from Demolition
Sunday, 8 March 2020
The time is short to get as many signatures as possible for the petition to save Cowbridge Old Girls’ School from demolition!
We call on the National Assembly for Wales to urge the Welsh Government to protect the former Intermediate School for Girls in Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan.
This was the first intermediate school to be built specifically for the education of girls in Wales (and England) and is the subject of a planning application for demolition. Failure to protect it will lead to the
loss of a nationally important historic asset.
"Great to see you again yesterday and thanks for your support. As promised, attached is the pdf of the paper petition if you could share and ask people to take round work/family/friends. Full sheets can be handed in to Davies's newsagents, the Bay Tree or Arthur John on the high street. Alternatively sheets can be handed in at the public meeting on Thursday 12th March at the town hall from 6-8pm and we will also be back outside Caffe Nero next Saturday.
Many thanks, Sara"
